When Steven Gerrard almost lost his balls!

During Liverpool's FA Cup game against Bournemouth in 2014, Steven Gerrard suffered the most painful injury of his career that almost cost him his balls.

In 2014, Liverpool were playing an FA Cup fourth-round game against Bournemouth, when the Liverpool skipper, known for his grit and determination, lunged into a challenge against Harry Arter. It didn’t seem like anything at the time, but after the game, Gerrard went to Liverpool’s first team doctor Andrew Massey to treat an injury.

Now the injury was on Gerrard’s private part and as Massey recalls it, it was covered in blood and he thought to himself that they weren’t taught how to treat this medical school.

But of course, he treated it. It required 4 stitches down there, and Gerrard applauded Massey's efforts in his autobiography.

Now Liverpool won that game 2-0, and as the news of Gerrard’s uncomfortable injury spread in the dressing room, everyone had a good laugh!
