Cesc Fabregas' Miracle at Como 1907!

Cesc Fabregas owns a part of Como 1907, who were promoted to the Serie A after 21 years. He also played for the Italian club before taking charge as a manager.

While getting into management after retirement is becoming rife in world football, there are a few former players who've put their money where their heart is and become club owners. Ronaldo Nazario owns the Brazilian club Cruzeiro and the Spanish club Real Valladolid. Gerrard Pique owns FC Andorra, who, like Valladolid, competes in the Spanish second division.

Similarly, Cesc Fabregas and Theirry Henry own a part of Italian club Como, who have now earned promotion to the Serie A after 21 years. Fabregas even played the last season of his career at Como, and more interestingly, he took charge of the club in November 2023 despite not having a UEFA license!

Officially, the club later appointed Osian Roberts as the interim head coach, but Fabregas remained the key cog in the wheel and steered the club to 15 wins, 6 draws, and 4 losses in 25 Serie B matches under his tutelage.

The world will witness the club's journey to promotion up close in an upcoming documentary as well.
